During a high-level review meeting of the Industries Department in Patna, Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary directed officials to develop 11 mega industrial parks across Bihar and establish dedicated food parks in all 38 districts.
The proposed roadmap aims to accelerate industrialisation across the state while generating large-scale employment opportunities at the regional level. To support upcoming infrastructure projects and attract global investment, the Chief Minister also instructed the creation of a 50,000-acre land bank to ensure timely and adequate land availability for future industrial expansion.
To strengthen Bihar’s position in Ease of Doing Business rankings, the Chief Minister emphasised the need for transparent and time-bound clearance systems for industry approvals and operational permissions. The strategy places strong focus on sectors such as food processing, textiles, pharmaceuticals, and MSMEs, along with plans to establish a dedicated Textile Industrial Centre and further strengthen the state’s startup ecosystem.
Additionally, District Magistrates have been directed to coordinate closely with local communities to facilitate smooth land acquisition at fair compensation, while ensuring timely disbursal of incentives to new industrial units to encourage sustained investment inflows into the state.
